Dance:


Dance is an incredibly valuable and holistic activity for school students, offering a wide range of benefits that go far beyond just physical exercise. It plays a critical role in developing students' bodies, minds, and social-emotional skills.Here are the key benefits of incorporating dance as a school activity. It helps us improve fitness: Dance is an engaging full-body workout that improves cardiovascular health, builds muscle strength using body weight, and helps combat sedentary lifestyles.It also helps us enhance our motor skills. It significantly develops coordination, balance, flexibility, and agility. This foundation is beneficial for sports and everyday physical tasks.
School Band:

The school band pulsates with youthful energy, a vibrant collective of students who pour their passion into melodies and rhythms. From the booming resonance of the tuba to the crisp snap of the snare drum and the soaring notes of the saxophone, their music fills the halls with an infectious enthusiasm. Rehearsals are a focused flurry of activity, where individual talents blend into a unified sound under the guidance of their dedicated conductor.
Whether performing spirited marches at school events, soulful ballads during assemblies, or rocking out at the annual talent show, the school band provides a platform for students to discover their musical voice and collaborate creatively. Beyond the music itself, the band fosters teamwork, discipline, and a sense of belonging, creating lasting memories and friendships that extend far beyond the band room. 1 It's a place where a shared love of music transforms individual students into a powerful and harmonious whole. Our band master trains the school band twice a week, enhancing this skill with utmost precision. With a band major in the student council, we ensure that the school band represents the school at every occasion.
Music:

Music education in schools cultivates a wealth of valuable skills that extend far beyond the realm of melody and rhythm. Engaging with music fosters creativity as students compose, improvise, and interpret musical pieces. It hones discipline through the dedicated practice required to master an instrument or vocal technique. Collaboration in ensembles and bands nurtures teamwork and communication skills, teaching students to listen attentively and contribute effectively to a shared goal. Furthermore, learning music enhances cognitive abilities, improving memory, concentration, and spatial-temporal reasoning. The study of music history and theory provides insights into different cultures and periods, fostering cultural awareness and appreciation. Hence, we dedicate one period a week for enhancing our children’s musical skills and vocal training.
Physical Education:

Physical Education (PE) in schools is more than just games; it's a crucial part of a student's holistic development. It encompasses a wide range of activities, from team sports and individual exercises, catering to diverse interests and abilities. Regular engagement in PE offers a multitude of benefits. Physically, it enhances cardiovascular health, builds strong muscles and bones, improves flexibility and coordination, and helps maintain a healthy weight, reducing the risk of chronic diseases. Beyond the physical, PE significantly impacts mental and emotional well-being. Exercise releases endorphins, which act as natural mood elevators, reducing stress, anxiety, and symptoms of depression. It also boosts self-esteem and confidence as students achieve fitness goals and master new skills.
Hence, we dedicate two periods for a week for achieving our fitness goals!
We conduct inter-house; inter-school games like Throwball, Volley Ball, Badminton etc.
We conduct the Nursery Sports Day compulsively, with great pomp and joy. We also participate in all activities of the Fit India Movement.
